Albert Hadley
Born 1921 in Nashville, Tennessee Hadley is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design in New York and has taught both here and in Paris. Mr. Hadley established his own design firm before joining McMillen Inc. And in 1962, he established his long association with Mrs. Parish and formed Parish- Hadley Associates.
Albert Hadley, with his partner of twenty-five years and fellow Hall of Fame member "Sister" Parish, is responsible for transforming countless rooms of many houses into very personal, individual and comfortable spaces. Among the firm's clients are numbered William s. Paley, Brooke Astor and Ann Getty
He put the finishing touches on the Kennedy White House with Sister Parish; spruced up Al Gore’s vice-presidential residence; and brought a clean, refined sense of order to the home of Happy Rockefeller.
Hadley believes strongly that if you’re in a position to walk away from a client you can’t help, you should. “There’s no point creating anything beautiful for somebody who’s a slob,” he notes. “Housekeeping is part of the art of living. If you don’t have that, forget it.”

Albert Hadley was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 1986.
