Prairie Art Alliance is a non-profit community organization headed by a Board of Directors and an Executive Director. Located in in the Hoogland Center for the Arts in downtown Springfield, the Prairie Art Alliance offers a variety of classes including drawing, painting, book art and photography.

Prairie Art Alliance was first established in 1979 as the Womans Art Alliance and became incorpoated as a non profit organization in 1985. In 1995 the name was changed to the Prairie Art Alliance to reflect an emerging male membership. As well as offering classes, The Prairie Art Alliance provides a variety of services to its community, including art exhibitions and outreach programs.
