Located just seven miles from Las Vegas strip, The Art Institute of Las Vegas
offers a wide range of programs designed to prepare students for careers in design, technology, hospitality and business.
Founded in 1983, The Art Institute of Las Vegas was originally known as the Interior Design Institute which later became the Design Institute. In 2001 The Art Institute of Las Vegas became part of the Art Institute System of Schools and moved to a new building at 2350 Corporate Circle in Henderson, Nevada. The Art Institute of Las Vegas added a second building at 2340 Corporate Circle, to meet the growing needs of the campus.

The Art Institute of Las Vegas also includes The International Culinary school at Las Vegas. In 2008, a team of eight chefs chosen to represent The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes traveled to Efurt, Germany to compete against some of the world’s top chefs and confectioners in the 22nd Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA) International Culinary Art Competition or “culinary Olympics.” The culinary Olympics are considered the most prestigious competition in the culinary industry—taking place only once every four years.
In the Culinary Arts category, The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes team earned five silver medals and one bronze medal in the Pâtisserie category.  (www.artinstitute.edu/lasvegas/NewsandEvents)
