Founded in 1859,the Cooper Union School of Art is based in the artistic East Village and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a Computer Studio. They offer a four year program that leads to the Bachelor of Fine Art degree. Applicants are subjected to a 'hometest' of visual problems and questionnaire. The Cooper Union is a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD).
